Brief Biography

Shagufta Ahmad is the Director of Rakaiz Al-Ijtima’iyah, a family NGO in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the USA and an MBA in Islamic Finance from Malaysia. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the field of Islamic/Ethical Economics from the UK. She is a diversified professional with over 25 years of experience in both non-profit and for-profit sectors (education and software industries, public administration and community service organizations). She has been teaching and tutoring students all her adult life with passion. She is detail oriented with strong analytical skills, excellent English communication and documentation skills, is a quick learner, a team worker, and is self-motivated.
